Dog Policy

Updated: August 6, 2025

Solaris Beer & Blending is proud to be a dog-friendly establishment located in Murrieta, CA. To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons, their pets, and our staff, we have established the following dog policy, which complies with Riverside County and Murrieta municipal ordinances, including Riverside County Code of Ordinances Title 6 (Animals) and regulations enforced by Animal Friends of the Valleys. By bringing a dog onto our premises, you agree to comply with these rules and all applicable local laws.

Dog Policy Guidelines

  1. Well-Behaved Dogs Only: Dogs must be friendly, non-aggressive, and well-socialized. Any dog displaying aggressive behavior, including but not limited to growling, snapping, or biting, must be removed from the premises immediately. Dogs involved in aggressive incidents will be permanently banned from Solaris Beer & Blending.

  2. Leash Requirement: In accordance with Riverside County Ordinance 6.08 and Murrieta municipal regulations, all dogs must be kept on a non-retractable leash no longer than 6 feet at all times. Dogs are not permitted to run at large or roam freely.

  3. Owner Responsibility: Dog owners are fully responsible for their pet’s behavior and any damages or injuries caused by their dog. Solaris Beer & Blending is not liable for incidents involving dogs, as per our indemnification policy.

  4. Supervision: Dogs must remain under the direct control and supervision of their owner at all times. Unattended dogs are not permitted.

  5. Clean-Up: Owners must clean up after their dogs, in compliance with Riverside County Code Chapter 8.28 (waste removal requirements). Waste bags and disposal stations are available on-site.

  6. Health and Licensing: Dogs must be healthy, vaccinated against rabies, and licensed as required by Riverside County Ordinance 6.08.020 and Murrieta city ordinances. Dogs four months or older must have a current rabies vaccination and display a valid license tag on their collar. Proof of vaccination or licensing may be requested by staff.

  7. Spay/Neuter and Microchipping: Per Riverside County Ordinance 6.08.120 and Murrieta requirements, dogs over four months must be spayed or neutered unless the owner holds a valid unaltered dog license. All dogs must be microchipped, and owners must provide the microchip number upon request.

  8. Designated Areas: Dogs are permitted in designated areas, including the outdoor patio and taproom (excluding restricted areas such as the brewing area or restrooms). Dogs must not be placed on tables or furniture for sanitary reasons.

  9. Respect Other Patrons: Owners must prevent their dogs from approaching other patrons or their pets without permission, as not all guests are comfortable around dogs.

  10. Noise Control: Per Riverside County Ordinance 6.08, dogs must not engage in habitual barking, howling, or other noises that unreasonably disturb patrons. Owners must address excessive noise immediately to avoid public nuisance violations.

Policy Enforcement

  • Solaris Beer & Blending reserves the right to ask any dog and its owner to leave if the dog’s behavior is deemed disruptive, aggressive, or in violation of this policy or local ordinances.

  • Dogs involved in aggressive incidents, such as biting, will be permanently banned from the premises, and owners may face further action as required by Animal Friends of the Valleys or Riverside County Animal Services.

  • Owners acknowledge and accept full responsibility for their pet’s actions and agree to indemnify Solaris Beer & Blending against any claims arising from their dog’s behavior.

Local Ordinance Compliance

  • Riverside County and Murrieta Regulations: All dogs on the premises must comply with Riverside County Code of Ordinances Title 6, including mandatory rabies vaccination, licensing, microchipping, and spay/neuter requirements (unless an unaltered license is obtained). Dogs must not run at large and must be leashed at all times.

  • Animal Control: Animal Friends of the Valleys, which provides animal control services for Murrieta, may be contacted for violations, including unlicensed dogs, aggressive behavior, or public nuisances. Contact: (951) 674-0618 (business hours) or (951) 506-5069 (after hours).
